Meet the team

Bruce is passionate about educating and treating patients to enable them to keep their teeth for life, not just patching what has broken but also treating the cause of the problem, thus restoring patients to dental health. He has made this focus the centre of the Care Dental Implant Clinic’s ethos.

Bruce graduated from Dundee in 1990. He set up Care Dental, Care Dental Implant Clinic and Signature Ceramics, now owned by Portman Health Care. Bruce has worked in implant dentistry since 1995 and has placed approximately 9000 implants. One of his key dental interests is in coaching and mentoring referring colleagues. The clinic`s laboratory, Signature Ceramics has fully embraced the digital workflow and supports the clinics work.

His own field of expertise is within implant dentistry and as part of his continuing professional studies, he has completed his postgraduate diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Bruce’s career spans 31 years and he is more convinced than ever of how amazing a career in dentistry can be. His background is Scottish general practice, his work encompasses advanced implant and restorative care, digital workflows and post graduate training and mentoring.

When Bruce has nothing else to do, he will occasionally be found lecturing with the International Team of Implantology and coaching his referring dentists, through his in-house mentoring programme. When he is really kicking his heels, you may see him on his bike cycling the Crieff countryside.

Graeme is a highly experienced and competent Implant Clinician, with Graeme in our clinic we can rest assured knowing that our patients will receive the highest quality care when it comes to Restorative and Implant Dentistry. Graeme is an experienced Implant Surgeon and can complete the surgical and restorative aspects of care. His extensive knowledge, expertise and flair for cosmetic dentistry combined with his special interest in occlusion, bruxism and advanced tooth wear means his patients receive the best treatment. With over a decade of experience in Restorative and Implant Dentistry, Graeme has the training and expertise to bring your smile back to life.

After graduating from Dundee University in 2007, he furthered his knowledge and expertise with a British Academy of Restorative Dentistry (BARD) course in 2010 and passed the certificate examination in 2011. Graeme's expertise was further enhanced through a 2-year Advanced Restorative and Implant Dentistry Course (2014-2015) and received Post Graduate Certificates in Restorative and Implant Dentistry as well as a Diploma in Implant Prosthodontics. Graeme is now assisting Dr Strickland and is receiving referrals for Dental Implants from our network of referring colleagues.

When he's not working in the practice, or training for the next course, you'll find Graeme out and about enjoying the great outdoors. Whether it's taking a stroll with his family and dogs, cycling, or heading out for a friendly round of golf, Graeme is keeping active and making the most of life.

Dr. Deborah Hannigan is a compassionate dentist with special interests in advanced restorative dentistry, Invisalign (aesthetic teeth straightening), composite bonding and caring for anxious patients. She is focused on providing the long-term function and the best smile for each of her patients. With a passion for excellence and a commitment to patient comfort, she brings over two decades of experience to Care Dental.

Deborah graduated from Dundee Dental Hospital in 1998 with a BDS degree and completed two years as a Senior House Officer in Ninewells Hospital and PRI, gaining experience in Oral surgery, Implant surgery, Oral medicine and IV sedation. Dr. Hannigan's dedication to continuous learning led her to pursue further education in achieving the MFDS qualification (Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery), enhancing her expertise in comprehensive patient care. Deborah strives to continually up skill and widen her abilities and has completed a 2-year course in advanced restorative dentistry. She is embarking presently on completing PG Certificates also in this field.

Deborah’s passion to help others has led her to the remote islands of the Philippines several times, using her skills to help those who have had no access to dental care in the developing world.

Whether performing intricate restorative procedures or guiding patients through Invisalign treatment, Dr. Hannigan's gentle demeanour along with extra modules in CBT, and her advanced academic knowledge, ensure each individual receives personalised, top-tier dental care in a relaxed and supportive environment. Her greatest satisfaction in dentistry is seeing a smile transformed and people regaining self-confidence and are enthusiastic about their own appearance.

Glen graduated from the University of Dundee in 2016. He is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry and ensures his patients feel at ease throughout their dental treatment. His ambition to ensure that all patients feel healthy and comfortable in their smile has recently led him to complete a postgraduate MFDS Diploma with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Glen continues to expand his knowledge and attends regular courses to ensure that he is able to provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based treatment options for his patients. Consistent high-quality work is the core of Glen’s practice. Glen’s interests within dentistry include cosmetic veneers, facial aesthetics and orthodontics. He is a provider of Invisalign, which allows orthodontic teeth straightening without metal braces.

Glen enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family. He is a keen swimmer and particularly enjoys travelling abroad.

Bilal is a highly skilled dentist who graduated from the University of Dundee in 2011, he completed his vocational training in Stenhousemuir, Falkirk and worked as an associate for 6 years at the same practice before joining the team at Care Dental in 2017.

With a passion for learning, Bilal continually upskills himself with courses and the latest dental technology. Having completed his MFDS qualification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in November 2014, Bilal continued on a 2-year Advanced Restorative Programme with Professor Paul Tipton and is adding to his qualifications in dental implants with Dr Bruce Strickland. He also has a diploma in Endodontics from the University of Chester.

As a provider of Invisalign® and Reveal®, Bilal can correct misalignments & seamlessly integrates clear aligner solutions, dental implants, and other cutting-edge treatments into his practice. Patients leave his chair knowing they received the highest-quality care available.

Bilal is also enthusiastic about staying active and loves cycling, squash, and even hitting the gym.

Prior to attending university, Murray became a qualified dental nurse at Care Dental, Crieff. Murray then went on to further develop his dental knowledge and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) from the University of Dundee in 2019. He completed his vocational training at Dental Care, Perth and has continued to work there as an associate dentist for the last two years. He has continued his professional development by completing courses in Sure Smile clear aligners and has completed postgraduate training courses in treatment plans and occlusion.

Murray is an exceptionally capable and caring clinician who is a reliable and compassionate asset to our team.

Lindsey graduated from Glasgow University in 1994 and spent the first part of her career as a Dental Officer with the Royal Air Force before settling in Perthshire and Care Dental. After a brief hiatus working with a private dental group in Western Australia, she returned to the U.K. and her family.

Attaining her diploma in General Dental Practice during her time with the RAF, she enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a special interest in Endodontics (root canal treatments). Lindsey works two days a week at Glasgow Dental Hospital, managing more advanced cases. She is keen on imparting her knowledge to others and striving to keep current with contemporary treatment options.
